Greeters minutes from the July meeting and the telephone list
for each greeter are located on the bottom portion of the wall
rack next to the church office. I'm sorry for misinformation in
the past bulletin. Please don't hesitate to call Bonnie Stewart

questions.
We need people to do face painting for the bazaar on Oct. 15 &
16. Please call Bonnie Stewart or Darcy Thompson if you would
like to volunteer.
Fiesta Dinner Fundraiser
St. Monica Knights Baseball Team will host a Fiesta Dinner on
Friday, September 9th at 7p.m. in the Hall. This is a fundraiser
for our baseball teams. We will have a silent auction as well as
door prizes. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
Please come out and support our children by supporting our
fundraising efforts. Someone will be in the vestibule of the
church with tickets.
Gospel Choir Musical
The Gospel Choir cordially invites St. Monica Parish Family to
join us on Sept. 25th @ 4:00 p.m. for our musical.
Booth Rental - Bazaar
The Bazaar Committee is renting out non-food booths for the
upcoming Bazaar, Oct. 15th & 16th. The cost for booth rental is
$75 per day. If you or someone you know would like to rent a
booth, please contact Glenn Gonzales at 281-445-0092.
KPC Jr. Division
Parents we apologize for the late notice. In light of the
devastation in New Orleans and Labor Day weekend we have elected
to postpone the junior knights and junior daughters regularly
scheduled meeting until Saturday, September 17th @ 4:30 p.m.

St. Monica Vocation Committee is sponsoring a 5-Day Thanksgiving

Immaculate Heart of Mary
The Houston Chapter of Immaculate Heart of Mary --"Catholics
United for Faith", will be holding its meetings at St. Monica,
on the first Saturdays of the Month. Following the 8 a.m. Mass,
and a rosary thereafter, a spiritual talk will soon follow. The
topic for this month is on the Soul. The talk will end no later
than 11 :30 am. We will be meeting in the CCE / Multipurpose
Building. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
Mother-Daughter Program
A Mother-Daughter Program for 10-12 year old girls will be held
Sunday, Sept. 25th. The program will discuss sexuality and God's
gift of human fertility. It will be held at the Chancery at St.
Dominic Archdiocesan Center. The registration deadline is 10
days prior to the program. For more information and/or to

St. Peter Claver Day is Sun., Sept. 11th, at St. Francis of

Family to Family Network
Become a Family Friend by spending time with a child with a
disability! If you are 55 years or older, join our team of
volunteers and make a difference in a child's life. Enjoy
visiting their home reading a book, sharing your love, and
becoming a special part of the child's family! Do not miss your
chance to participate in this wonderful and rewarding program.
Another fun Volunteer Training is starting soon so come meet
other volunteers and remember. ..It is never too late to make a
difference! Also, if you have a child with a disability and
would like to have a Family Friend, please call Carolyn or A
line @ 713- 466-6304. Family Friends is a nationwide program
funded by the National Council on the Aging (NCOA) and the
United States Administration on the Aging (AOA).
5k Claver Fun Walk
